Former HOLE And MTLEY CRE Drummer To Host New Music Show On ManiaTV
April 30, 2008Samantha Maloney has toured the world drumming for HOLE and MTLEY CRE, produced scores for films, including "Black Hawk Down", and acted on the silver screen. Now, the sexiest drummer on the rock music scene is taking her talents to web television with ManiaTV's new show, "All Access". Samantha, along with ManiaTV senior music producer and MTV veteran Amy Finnerty, have created a behind-the-scenes show that will take viewers inside the life of major artists and showcase the best new acts in music.
"Most interviews with musicians are incomplete portraits of the people behind the music. 'All Access' is about showing people who these artists really are and what it's like to hang out with them in an intimate setting," said Maloney. "We will have some big names, but we will also introduce the audience to some great bands many wouldn't have the chance to see otherwise."
In the first episodes, Samantha joins THE CRYSTAL METHOD's Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland on location in their Los Angeles studio for a day that includes jam sessions, in-depth storytelling, and shopping for shoes. The 30-minute show also includes a live performance from Australia's SKYBOMBERS and a look at custom guitar artist Stephen McSwain.
The following episode features Samantha Maloney hanging out backstage and around town with musician Del The Funky Homosapien followed by an exclusive live performance from Meiko on ManiaTV's Gibson Garage soundstage.
"'All Access' represents a new approach to music television, offering music fans a unique perspective on major and emerging artists from the viewpoint of the artists" said ManiaTV VP of Music Programming, Stefan Goldby. "From the live performances to day-in-the-life experiences, 'All Access' takes our audience behind the velvet rope, inside the home and into the hobbies of some of the biggest and most exciting names in music."
